Meadham Kirchhoff for Topshop

London based design duo Meadham Kirchhoff will be unveiling their fourth and biggest collection for high street store Topshop later this month.

The range named 'The Cherrys' is based around fictional band or gang of rebels (Cherry Cherie,Cherry Satanika,Cherry Pika and Cherry Blossom) and each cherry has their own signature style. According to Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff, the overall aesthetic was inspired by Marilyn Manson and the spooky kids,Kembra Pfahler and glam rock.
Topshop's creative director Kate Phelan described the brand as original and inspiring and answered " ..their clothes are delicate and romantic with a perverse twist that keep the collections modern and innovative" when asked why she chose to collaborate with the duo.
The range contains 89 pieces ranging from accessories, shoes, clothing and outerwear, from £4-£750.
The collection stays true to Meadham Kirchhoff's signature wacky aesthetic and includes clashing patterns, pvc, shoes with faces and lots of cherries.

Alexander McQueen X Damien Hirst

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the hugely popular skull scarf, Alexander McQueen
have collaborated with British artist, Damien Hirst to create a collection consisting of 30 one off designs that feature insects,on some of the scarves the insects together form the signature skull shape.
The skull scarves have been a hit for 10 years since their first appearance in 2003 for McQueen's Irere collection. The designs are adapted from Hirst's 'Entomology' collection of paintings, in which he used insects to create colourful, kaleidoscope inspired patterns.

This is quite a change from Hirst's usual eccentric work, which includes animals such as sharks and cattle preserved in formaldehyde, and a platinum skull set with diamonds and human teeth.
Aswell as the anniversary scarf  collection, a short film has been created by fashion photographer and filmmaker Sølve Sundsbø. The film shows women gliding around in slow-mo, their billowing dresses decorated with patterns from the collection. I've always wanted a McQueen skull scarf and now I'm lusting after the insect scarves.. one for the Christmas wish list!

The scarves are available in McQueen boutiques and at AlexanderMcQueen.com from Nov 15

Kristjana S Williams for Triumph

Icelandic illustrator Kristjana S Williams has collaborated with international lingerie brand Triumph for their new campaign. The brand take on a different style in their new ads, their usual clean and clear aesthetic is replaced with busy, intricate illustrations that surround the black and white image of the model. As a fan of illustration, I really like the new campaign, particularly as it focuses on the brands heritage. In a scroll at the bottom it reads' Triumph the makers of lingerie', this corresponds with the graphic illustrations of scissors, measuring tape, needles and thread, its touches on the history of the brand, which has been running since 1886, and is a very visual way to show the craftsmanship that goes into the lingerie.

Vivienne Westwood x heritage

Vivienne Westwood has collaborated with five British heritage brands, for a capsule collection called Vivienne Westwood(heart). The collection is a celebration of British quality and craftmanship. There has been a lot of focus on British brands, and I think it's a great idea to purchase quality items made in Britain, especially as we are still in recession, I definitely agree with Westwood's quality over quantity values.

The five chosen brands are luggage label Globe Trotter,Outerwear specialist Gloverall, cashmere and knitwear label Johnstons of Elgin, hat designers Lock&Co, and luxury sock brand Pantherella.  The brands are all between 75 and 346 years old and fit into her quality over quantity ethos. Vivienne Westwood also recently teamed up with British brand The Cambridge Satchel Company to create a collection of limited edition satchels which look amazing, so I can't wait to see the outcome of the British heritage collaboration!

The items will be available from the Conduit Street and King's Road stores in London and at viviennewestwood.com

Stella McCartney X Goop

Gwyneth Paltrow's has teamed up with British fashion designer Stella McCartney for their first collaboration, available exclusively on Gwyneth's lifestyle website 'Goop'. The Stella McCartney X Goop collection launched on September 12. This collaboration is the latest in a series of fashion partnerships Paltrow has struck up for her site, previous designers include, Rag & Bone,Cynthia Rowley and Alexandra Von Furstenberg.
The collection contains only 6 items making it more of a capsule collection.Stella McCartney has explained that they wanted to create investment pieces. The outcome is designs that are timeless and classic, the pieces are effortless and Stella believes they reflect Gwyneth's style, it's a big reflection on her and they decided they would create a small timeless collection that you'd want to leave to your daughter.
To celebrate the collection the pair thew an English Garden Party in the Hamptons, as you do. Complete with lawn games, a jazz band, british food and drink such as guinness, and mini fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding as well as a guest list including, Paul McCartney, Cameron Diaz,Cynthia Rowley,Rachel Zoe and Sarah Jessica Parker.
The collection definitely is understated and classic. Two of the six pieces are bags, one a clutch and one beautiful shoulder bag, there's also a tailored black wool blazer, a charcoal jumpsuit, black staple jeans with zip detail, and a pair flattering, loose fit black wool trousers. The collection is timeless with modern twists, the shoulder bag unfolds "like origami" into a sleek clutch, and the jeans are not denim but a deep blue velvet, that you don't notice at first glance, a perfect twist on the black jean. I would quite like the Beckett shoulder bag but at $1,230.00 it's not really in my price range.. one for the wish list!
